Dude, do you have to pick the most expensive everything? $200 black trousers that don’t look a thing like Basquiat’s? Really?
I love the blog (really – LOVE), but get so disheartened when I see how expensive some of the stuff you find is.
I thought part of the point was to make classic styles, or rather, styles from classic characters, accessible to we, the readers. To me, $200 pants and $2,000 jackets don’t really meet that bar.
the fun and novelty thing about “nerdboyfriend” is the fact that the writers go through the trouble of finding either the exact same, or very closely resembling articles of clothing to those present in the photograph.
If you want some black trousers for cheap go to the salvation army… but if you want to know what Jean-Michel Basquiat is wearing read this blog.
finding classic styles at affordable prices is easy to do. The reason being that the styles have remained popular and efficient in their use since their first appearance in mens fashion.
